I chose to drive straight to lake Sonoma to catch the early morning light. Just before the bridge there’s a turn out where you can walk up a few steps to an outlook complete with a picnic table…next time I’ll bring coffee and a snack to enjoy here!

Heading back toward Healdsburg, enjoying the play of the early morning light on the vineyards, I came upon Ferrari-Carano winery. Spectacular buildings, vineyards and a lovely surprise garden!
